Emerson Fittipaldi Jnr will remain with MP Motorsport for a repeat assault on the burgeoning Eurocup-3 series in 2025. The 17-year-old Brazilian aims to be a title contender after having become a winner in his first year in the series.

The talented son of two-time Formula 1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi finished a close fifth in last year’s Eurocup-3 series, ending on a high at Barcelona by taking pole position and a win in the first race of the weekend. In the second race, he then went on to add a second place to his impressive tally of podiums. With this experience under his belt, Fittipaldi will be among the favourites for this year’s series, joining Maciej Gładysz, Valerio Rinicella, Alexander Abkhazava and reigning Spanish F4 champion Mattia Colnaghi in a very strong multi-car line-up for the Dutch team, with one more announcement still coming up.

“I’m extremely pleased to be able to continue my Eurocup-3 journey with MP Motorsport in 2025”, said Fittipaldi. “Last season, we consistently improved ourselves to be in a winning position towards the end, which culminated in victory at Barcelona, and I aim to carry that momentum into the new season. MP was the strongest team overall in the series in 2024 and I see every sign of that being the same this year. Along with my teammates I will be fighting for as many wins as I can and hopefully clinch another title for the team.”
“We are very happy that Emmo has decided to stay on for a second term in Eurocup-3”, said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “He is the highest 2024 finisher to remain in the series, so he will start the season with the strongest possible papers. Last year, we finished first, third and fifth in the final standings, and we realise that it’s going to be hard to repeat that. But with Emmo, Valerio and Alexander as the second-year campaigners and with Maciej and Mattia as two extremely quick rookies progressing from Spanish F4, we know that we have the talent to go for it!”

Following a successful career in karting, Fittipaldi stepped up to single-seaters in 2021, finishing third in the Danish F4 series. In 2022, the Brazilian teenager progressed to Italian F4 while also taking in a part programme in German F4. Fittipaldi’s main programme in 2023 was the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, in which he became a points scorer in his debut season.
